On 17 and 18 December, our annual Information for Better Markets conference will consider Financial scandals: past, present and future. With leading academic speakers and practitioners talking about their own experience, the event will explore what we learn from financial scandals. It will consider what history tells us about the development of accounting in response to such events and where we are today – assessing the role of financial reporting regulation and corporate gatekeepers. Finally it will consider the nature of tax avoidance and look at how public anger has led to calls for greater transparency.
You can view the full programme and book your place at www.icaew.com/ifbm2018. The event is supported by ICAEW’s charitable trusts and there is no charge to attend.
