Is anyone out there researching time spent by trainees auditing?

 and reflecting the change in the skills requirements for qualified staff.

I am interested in looking at the impact of IT/AI on the amount of time required to audit these days, compared to 30 years ago.

the question must be asked, what else are trainees doing to get the enhanced business experience that is now required fro the role?

I am hoping to start gathering data together over the first couple of months of term, and would welcome input/comments from others who have experience of this.
