RETURNING TO WORK AFTER A CAREER BREAK?
To career, or not to career, that is the question…
Following its tremendous success in 2017, Virgin Money is delighted to announce its second ReCareer Programme, dedicated to talented professionals who are returning to work following a career break.
What is the ReCareer Programme?
The 13-week ReCareer Programme is specifically designed to provide a supported route back to work for those returning to work after a career break of 18 months or longer. It is a 13-week paid professional internship. The programme is open to all and specifically aspires to encourage women back into the workforce after taking time out and who are now keen to return to their careers.
In addition to joining a team and taking on a valuable and significant piece of work, the ReCareer Programme also incorporates tailored returner coaching, mentoring and induction to support you in your transition. Technical training is provided to ensure you are up to speed on any industry or professional changes. There will be the opportunity to network internally with senior members of the organisation, and a buddying system to ensure your enjoyment of the programme. Flexible working is available and it is the aim of the programme to offer you a permanent position at the end, although this is not guaranteed. There will be a one week break in the programme coinciding with the half-term school holiday.
Have you been on an extended career break of 18 months or more and want to return to work? Do you feel that there is unfinished business with your career and are keen to reignite your ambitions? Do you have a university education or equivalent?
Virgin Money is seeking expression of interest from Career Returners with skill-sets in the following areas:
- Finance and Accounting- Technology, Data Analysis and Business Architecture- Risk and Compliance
Whilst we are specifically interested in these areas for our programme, we also welcome applications from Returners who have strong Banking and Finance experience gained in other disciplines to keep in mind for future opportunities.
Positions are on offer in both the Newcastle (Gosforth) and Edinburgh offices of Virgin Money.
