The 7 hats of data visualisation live online Q&A session - 30 January 2020

Hello everyone, Andy Kirk here.

I recently presented a webinar titled ‘the 7 hats of data visualisation’ - my attempt to deconstruct the different elements of skill, knowledge, and capabilities that create the profile of a contemporary data visualiser. You can view it here.

On 30th January 2020 (which sounds very far away in the future but is actually not), I will be holding a live online Q&A session during which I will answer any questions you have for me about the topics covered in the 7 hats webinar or about any data visualisation-related matter more generally.

If you haven’t already booked your place then you can do so now to ensure your participation.

Also, if you would like to register any questions below, I will do my best to prepare and provide answers to them during the session. I will do my absolute best to avoid responding with '...it depends'!

Thank you in advance,

Andy K

  • As you mentioned there are hundreds of different software and tools to use - do you have any personal preferences to which one you would normally use or does it always depend on what you are working on and looking to achieve?
Do you also find the cost of the software is comparable to the quality and output?
