We will be hosting the Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and Chinese technology company Inspur in January for a lunchtime discussion about our report, Big data in Chinese businesses. We are delighted that the President of SNAI, Professor Li Kouqing, will be sharing his perspective on big data in China and the impact on the accountancy profession there. SNAI is a major educator of senior finance leaders in State-owned enterprises, and therefore he has a wealth of experience around the needs of Chinese businesses and the role of accountants.
I will also be sharing my experience from the research project in China, and comparing it to our wider experience in the UK and other parts of the world. There are aspects of the Chinese experience that are unique, and it has been fascinating to learn more about China’s fast adoption of new technologies. But many of the research findings are also consistent with experience around the world and will resonate with members here.
This is a free seminar, including time for networking, with a sandwich lunch included. So if you want to find out more about China, big data and accountancy, please do join us on 29 January for this event. You can register here.
