Old software access

When people get new software, what is general practice for still having access to the transactions and reports on the old software?

  • The usual approach is to make a print out of the TB and ensure you have a digital copy of the audit trail. That should be enough to ensure you have all the records in case of any compliance issues. You can backstop with hard copy but I don't see much point in that as long as you have a good backup of the transaction data in the 1st place. Plus it isn't exactly 'green!'
