Volunteers wanted to join ICAEW's Business Law Committee

We are looking for two to four ICAEW members to join our Business Law Committee (BLC).

The BLC provides ICAEW with expert insights to help us respond to consultations, comment on and provide insight to members on significant proposed or existing UK, EU and international legislation, regulation or codes of practice affecting the scope or performance of members’ professional work within the broad theme of business conduct and regulation.

Applicants must be ICAEW members with an interest in the legal and regulatory regime and how it might develop to serve the public interest. In addition, applicants must be able to use their accountancy experience to asses the impact on the profession and members (in business and in practice) of any proposals or initiatives discussed by the BLC.

We would particularly welcome applications from members in business or members in medium sized practices with experience of trusts to fill some of the vacancies.

The BLC usually meets four times a year, at CAH, although tele and video conferencing is available.

You can read more about volunteering for our Technical Strategy Department from this link.

Applications should be made by e mail to volunteering@icaew.com by 31 January 2020. Please include a short CV and highlight any areas of your expertise or interests you think might be relevant.
