The hype would suggest that the major changes are technology driven. For example there seem to be many opportunities arising from software which helps people carry out new forms of analysis and communicate it more effectively, through for example better visualisations. How are you taking advantage of new technologies?
However, we also know that the success of business partners depends on many other factors such as soft skills and organizational culture. In our report we discussed how finance professionals can improve their understanding of the businesses they work for and develop a range of necessary skills, such as listening.
