I just wondered if anyone has any experience in the course below? I work in industry and have specialised in the commercial/business partnering route. But I would like to make a transition to perhaps a more technical role in industry or perhaps a mixed role that makes use of my commercial experience and accounting standards. Would knowing the IFRSs in detail enable me to make that transition into a more technical role/mixed role in industry or would employers not be keen on the basis that yes I have knowledge but don't have experience in accounting standards?
Also, would me having both a commercial and IFRS background be good for my future career progression as it would make me a more versatile accountant? Or is it best to just stick to the commercial route?
