what is CIMA? is it about finance?
ACCA is it about account?
ICAEW is it about finace and account? im getting confused about what i want to study in the future. my planning is to study CAT, then ACCA then ICAEW. but a friend of mine says that CIMA is better. is it true?
Hi Azeem, as this has been posted on the ICAEW blog page I think I know what the majority of us think.
The ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification, the ACA, is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available. It is valued around the world in business, practice and the public sector.
My advice would be to do your homework on all the qualifications above and then choose the ACA. It gives broad coverage of all important accountancy and finance subject areas and will open many doors and opportunities in your future career.
If you are looking at a starter qualification first then please look at the ICAEW Certificate in Finance Accounting & Business (CFAB) option https://www.icaew.com/Learning-and-development/ICAEW-CFAB/About-ICAEW-CFAB you can then seamlessly transfer on to the ACA on completion or alternatively this can lead to ICAEW BFP designation. https://www.icaew.com/groups-and-networks/become-a-bfp
If you want to know more please feel free to contact me outside of this blog on firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07769 142658.
Good luck with whatever qualification you choose.
