Practical Tax Conference - 5 and 6 October 2018

The Practical Tax Conference is a two day residential (optional) conference taking place in Edinburgh.  A joint event between ICAEW Scotland and Northern regions, in association with the Tax Faculty - it attracts delegates from across the UK, many of whom return year after year to get the latest insights and updates from a hand-picked panel of industry experts.

The event, now in it's 17th year, is designed with those owning or working in small to medium-sized practices in mind, and focuses on the topics that really matter to them, their businesses and their clients.

This year's packed programme has been designed to meet the real world needs of busty tax professionals. Many of the subjects and sessions are based on delegate feedback, so you can be sure that the focus is on the topics and issues that really matter.

Our panel is a mix of new speakers and requested regulars, who compliment each other's expertise and give you the essential updates on the issues that count. As always some well known and well respected members of the Tax Faculty will be sharing their expertise, including:

  • Carl Bayley, a Scottish-based practitioner and past chairman of the Tax Faculty, who will be providing insights into the tax system on both sides of the border.
  • Peter Rayney, chairman on the Tax Faculty Technical Committee and the Tax Awards 2018 Tax Writer of the Year.
  • Rebecca Benneyworth, MBE, one of the UK's most in-demand tax lecturers and a past chairman of the Tax Faculty

The conference is open to non-ICAEW members and day delegate rates are available. Partners and families are welcome; there are numerous attractions and places of interest near-by and Edinburgh, Scotland's vibrant capital city is within easy reach.
