Tax Club, the ICAEW discussion group for young professionals interested in tax, will be meeting on Monday 5 March 2018. We will be joined by guest speaker Wilson Cotton from Smith & Williamson LLP.
Wilson will talk on the topic of trusts and estates. He will explain the latest in a series of international moves on money-laundering and tax evasion and will touch on the wider changes to the regulatory environment including an update on the Trust Registration Service. He will also highlight some of the pitfalls to watch out for if you are a trustee.
Where and when
Tax Club meetings take place at ICAEW’s very own Business Centre at Chartered Accountants’ Hall. Why not arrive a little earlier to experience some of the beautiful public rooms our listed building has to offer?
Meetings begin at 18:30 (registration from 18:00) and finish around 20:00. The format is around three-quarters of an hour of informal presentation followed by a discussion session. Attendees are invited to stay on for further discussion and socialising. Free drinks and finger food will be provided. There is no entry fee.
How to join in
Tax Club is run by the Tax Faculty of the ICAEW and is open to all young professionals interested in tax. To give us an idea of numbers, it would be helpful if you could register your interest on our events page. For more details please visit www.icaew.com/taxclub.
