The current SME business tax manager is shortly to go on maternity leave and the Tax Faculty is seeking a temporary replacement for a period of one year. This is a high profile role within the Tax Faculty. The key responsibilities of the role are:

We are looking for someone who is a qualified Chartered Accountant and/or a recognised tax qualification with a wide technical knowledge of tax, excellent communication skills (both oral/listening & written) and the confidence and interpersonal skills to deal with senior level representatives from the profession, Government, the revenue authorities and a wider group of stakeholders. The person must be a team player willing to help and support the small team and uphold the high quality standards of work of the Tax Faculty, working as required within peer review processes and be able to meet deadlines.
This is a full time role but we would be happy to consider someone working four days a week. Salary for the 12 month full-time contract will be £72,000 depending upon skills and experience. For a candidate with the right background and experience, we could consider this role being wholly or partly based at home, with salary adjusted to reflect this.
