What to expect from the Tax Faculty in Budget week

Stop press added 11 October 2018. We are expecting the Chancellor to give his Budget speech at around 15:30 on 29 October.

The date for Autumn Budget 2018 has been set for Monday 29 October. Although the exact time of the speech is not yet known, it is expected to be in the afternoon and the Tax Faculty team has made plans to publish our thoughts on the Budget on that basis.

In the afternoon and early evening of Monday 29 October, we will publish a high level overview, together with news of any major policy announcements.

We will then delve into the detail and by Wednesday lunchtime will have our detailed analysis ready to email out in the week’s newswire, together with any other news. This will be sent on Wednesday 31 October rather than in its usual Tuesday slot.

TAXtalk will be broadcast on Wednesday 31 October at 12:30 pm when Anita Monteith will be joined by Frank Haskew, Head of Tax Faculty and Ross Campbell, Director Public Sector. Viewers should expect a TAX plus discussion, to include the public finances.

A detailed Tax Faculty Budget webinar will take place in November and details will be announced when we know the Chancellor’s plans.
