NIC update webinar - 6 December

With so much changing, what’s topical in NIC?

ICAEW Tax Faculty is presenting a webinar on NIC on 6 December at 3pm. In this webinar David Heaton (David Heaton Tax Ltd and past Chairman of our Employment Taxes & NIC Sub-committee) and Caroline Miskin (ICAEW Tax Faculty practitioner support) will discuss the latest changes and developments in national insurance contributions (NIC) and clarify some practical problems such as the collection of Class 2 NIC through self assessment and protecting short term benefits.

Other topics will include:

  • NIC credits including for Universal Credit and Working Tax Credit
  • Abolition of Class 2 and reform of Class 4
  • Office of Tax Simplification: moving Class 1 to a PAYE basis
  • Apprenticeship levy – NICable earnings and the ‘paybill’.
