The next meeting of the Younger Members Tax Club, the ICAEW discussion group for young professionals interested in tax, will take place on Monday 19 June 2017.
Our guest speaker will be Caroline Fleet, Gabelle, who will speak about the taxation of property income. Caroline’s talk will cover the key direct tax changes, incorporations of buy-to-let portfolios, key inheritance tax changes and a stamp duty update. If there is time some recent tax cases will also be covered.
Where and when
You will find us upstairs at our new venue The Globe, 83 Moorgate, London, EC2M 6SA.
Meetings begin at 18:30 (registration from 18:00) and finish around 20:00.
There is no entry fee. Free drinks (at the start of the evening) and finger food will be provided. There will be an opportunity to network after the talk.
How to join in
Tax Club is run by the Tax Faculty of the ICAEW and is open to all young (35 and under) professionals interested in tax. To give us an idea of numbers, it would be helpful if you could register your interest on our events page, however booking is not essential.
This sounds a really interesting talk but I have 2 problems:
1. I am aged over 35
2. I don't live in London
Why not record the lecture and put it on the web, at least for members of the Tax Faculty, of which I am one?
