Tax Club, the ICAEW discussion group for young professionals interested in tax, kicks off in 2018 with a talk by our guest speaker Pete Miller, The Miller Partnership, on Monday 26 February.
Pete will explain the recent changes to the use of carried-forward losses in companies, including what the losses may now be offset against and how the relief works in a group scenario. Pete will also cover the loss relief restriction which applies from April 2017.
Where and when
Tax Club meetings take place at ICAEW’s very own Business Centre at Chartered Accountant’s Hall, Moorgate Place, London. EC2R 6EA. Why not arrive a little earlier to experience some of the beautiful public rooms our listed building has to offer?
Meetings begin at 18:30 (registration from 18:00) and finish around 20:00. The format is around three-quarters of an hour of informal presentation followed by a discussion session. Attendees are invited to stay on for further discussion and socialising. Free drinks and finger food will be provided. There is no entry fee.
How to join in
Tax Club is run by the Tax Faculty of the ICAEW and is open to all young professionals interested in tax. To give us an idea of numbers, it would be helpful if you could register your interest on our events page. For more details please visit www.icaew.com/taxclub.
